Islam To Become Most Popular Religion Be 2070-Reports

A Washington-based Pew Research Center  released a new data predicting the spread of Islam to all parts of the globe by 2070.

According to the research result, Islam is expected to overtake Christianity to become the world’s most popular religion by the year 2070.

Stating the reason behind the forecast, migration to some regions includng North America and Europe has been cited as one of the factors that will enhance the spread.

Another factor aiding the spread of the religion according to the research  is the birth rate of Muslim women having an average of 3.1 offspring compared to the 2.3 offspring data recorded for all other groups combined.

“According to the study, America’s Muslims number 3.3 million which is about 1% of the population but that figure is expected to rise to 2.1% by 2050 while India will overtake Indonesia as the country with the world’s largest Muslim population.
