Wife Drags Husband To Court Over His Inability To Impregnate Her
A housewife, Mrs Omolara Adeyemi has dragged her husband of 11-Years to an Idi Ogungun Customary Court, Agodi, Ibadan for the dissolution of their marriage over the inability of her husband to impregnate her.
According to Omolara, her husband, Moradeyo refused to intensify efforts to get her pregnant since 2006 when their marriage was consummated.
Omolara said that Moradeyo refused to heed doctor's advice on how to solve the problem of low sperm count and impregnate her.
Omolara said, "Instead, he flirts around. He can spend weeks outside, abandoning me in the guise that he is engaged.
"I pray the court to separate us so that I can try my luck elsewhere in a bid to get pregnant and have a child.
"I cannot allow another man to sleep with me as long as I am still married to him."
The husband, Moradeyo, however, denied the allegations and told the court that he was not ready for divorce.
He further pleaded with the court to allow him and his wife to go home and resolve the matter amicably.
Chief Mukaila Balogun, the court president advised the couple to involve their family members in the resolution. The case was adjourned till February 27.
