MASS WEDDING: Kano To Marry Off Over 1500 Women

No fewer than 1,520 women is to be married off by the Kano State government under it's mass wedding programme. 

The administration of former Governor Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso introduced mass wedding which holds annually.

According to Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, the State Commissioner for Local Government who disclosed this on Thursday at a ceremony for the distribution of empowerment tools to youths under Ganduje Mass Economic Empowerment Programme (G-MEEP), "Funds for the proposed mass wedding has been released since."

"This is the first batch and second and third batches would followed soon," Garo said of the mass wedding.

No fewer than 4,000 prospect couples have been resgistered for the mass wedding by the Kano State Hisbah Board.
