I Am Not Competent To Speak On President Buhari's Health - Health Minister

Nigeria's Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, on Monday, said he is not competent to speak on President Muhammadu Buhari's health adding that only the President and his medical doctors were in the best position to give reasons Mr. Buhari was seeking treatment in hospital outside the country.

Professor Adewole stated this in an interview with journalists at the inauguration of the Central Pharmacy Store and Maternity Building at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex, Ile - Ife.

According to him, President Buhari might have travelled abroad as a matter of choice or on the advice of his doctors.

When asked the reason why President Buhari travelled abroad for treatment, The Health Minister said, "The President is the best person to speak on this; he is our leader and also a private citizen. He is entitled to make a choice which will be influenced largely by the advice of his doctor."
