Borno's Governor, Ibrahim Shettima Convoy Crashes

On Friday Governor Karim Shettima convoy was involved in a fatal road crash, leading to the death of his senior special assistant on protocol identified as Farouk Farouk.

It was gathered that the tragic incident occurred along the Abuja Kaduna expressway. 

The destination of the convoy could be ascertained but a government source he could be on his was to welcome President Buhari. 

Isa Gusau, spokesman of the governor, could not be reached for comments, as his mobile telephone was out of reach.

Shettima was not among the governors who were with Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja.
