Why We Picked Up Ibori On Arrival In Nigeria - DSS

The Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Musa Daura on Saturday explained the reason the Service picked up former governor of Delta State, James Ibori on arrival in Nigeria on Saturday.
Daura said he met with Ibori for "a short debriefing session and to also welcome him back to his fatherland."
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Daura satted this in Abuja in a chat with newsmen.
"He met me for a short debriefing session and way forward; also, to welcome him back to his fatherland. We are also meeting soon to discuss issues of interest affecting the nation," Daura said.
Ibori arrived Nigeria through Abuja on Saturday after completing a jail term in the United Kingdom for fraud.
Ibori who was convicted of fraud in 2012 by a UK court, was received by a mammoth crowd at his hometown in Oghara, Delta State.
He was released in December, 2016 after serving four and a half years of the 13-year jail term he was handed, after agreeing to be deported from the UK.
