Suarez To Miss Copa Del Rey Final After Barcelona's Appeal Was Thrown Out

Barcelona star, Luis Suarez will miss the Copa del Rey final on May 27, after the team's appeal against his sent off against his sending off during their 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday was thrown out.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), also gave Suarez two-match ban for his actions after he was sent off in the final minute of the game.

The implication is that Suarez will be missing in action at the finals and also at the first game of Spain’s domestic cup competition next season.

Referee Jesus Gil Manzano comments on Suarez was that he was sent off for throwing his arm in Koke’s direction after he received a yellow card for a foul on Juanfran.

The referee also reported that Suarez delayed his exit from the pitch, ignoring repeated warnings from the officials and then refused to leave the tunnel area when asked to do so by the fourth official.
