50-Year Old Father Of Four Rapes 15-Year Old Girl, Impregnates Her

For allegedly raping a 15-year old girl and getting her pregnant, a 50 - year old father of four in Kabo Local Government Area of Kano, Tukur Mohammed, has been arraigned before a Kano Chief Magistrate court.

According to the police, the accused told his victim to accompany him to his farm where he unlawfully had carnal knowledge of her, getting her pregnant after the act.

The police prosecutor, Inspector Umar Tahir, told the court that the victim became pregnant as a result of the sexual assault.

Mohammed also said he was married and blessed with four children, saying, "I have three girls, one boy, two out of my three daughters are married."

Chief Magistrate Mariam Sabo in her judgment, ordered the suspect to be remanded in prison custody while ruling that the medical expenses incurred by the victim, from the date of the incident till when she gives birth should be offset by the suspect.
