This Nigerian University Is Set To Produce Its First Set Of Graduates 12 Years After Its Establishment

12 years after it was established, the Plateau State University, Bokkos is set to hold its first ever convocation.

The Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Doknan Sheni who disclosed this on Monday said, though the University was established in 2005, with students admitted same year, none of them graduated as their courses were not accredited until year 2016.

The university established by the administration of Joshua Dariye had all its activities suspended by former Governor Jonah Jang on assumption of office in 2007 alleging poor infrastructure and lack of permanent staff. He subsequently reopened the institution without improving its infrastructure.

344 graduates of the University will be awarded degrees with 3 graduating in the first class category. The convocation is slated for 4th, February, 2017.
