10 Killed As Boko Haram Insurgents Ambush Troops In Maiduguri

Troops of the Operation Lafiya Dole, escorting commercial vehicles from Maiduguri to Damboa in Borno state were ambushed by Boko Haram insurgents, killing two of the soldiers and eight civilians, a military source has said.

The insurgents according to the source, hijacked two commercial vehicles and drove them into the dreaded Sambisa forest. The remains of the victims were taken to University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital morgue on Saturday evening.
